- We have a new set of spelling words this week: as, has, fox, box, mix, egg, jam, pet, nap, because, said, and big. You can browse the spelling section of this website for information on how to practice these words at home. Students brought home their first spelling test on this past Friday, and everyone did their very best work!
- Our art field trip to St. Albert is coming up on Wednesday, September 30. We could still use a couple of volunteers for the trip, so you can send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you're able to join us. Thanks to the parents who have already offered to join us. I will be sending home information later this week about where to meet us (either by following the bus from Millgrove or meeting us in St. Albert near the City Hall).
- Our annual Get the Scoop evening is this Wednesday, September 23 from 6:00-7:00. Swing by for some ice cream and a look at what's going on in classrooms at Millgrove!
- This Friday, September 25 we will be taking part in the Terry Fox Run as a school. If you are able, you can send a "Toonie for Terry" this week to go towards cancer research. The students always find this to be a very meaningful event!
Since email updates to parents haven't started at Millgrove yet, I thought I'd post a few updates on the week ahead in 2B. It's been great to see the students settle into classroom routines and form new friendships in the classroom, so I'm sure this will be our best week yet!
