Paul Klee's piece "The Groom's Arrival"
This week we learned about a new artist named Paul Klee. Paul Klee was an abstract artist from Switzerland who painted with distinctive colours and often drew with a childlike perspective. We learned about his life and art, which you can see in the videos below, and looked at his piece “The Groom’s Arrival.” It was created with mostly continuous lines and so we created similar shapes in our own art pieces and then filled in each closed space with different colours using oil pastels. We hope you enjoy our Paul Klee drawings!
