Week 12
June 8 - 12
Bug Week (Part Two)
This week we're wrapping up our focus on invertebrate animals! We will be having our class Google Meet on Tuesday at 10:00am, and I will stay on after that class meeting if students have any questions as they're finishing up their invertebrate writing. Instead of small group meetings this week, we will be watching a movie about invertebrate animals in our Google Meet on Thursday at 10:00am if your child would like to join. Children are invited to bring their invertebuddies from the mail to our meets if they'd like to (many of them were reading to me very impressively in our Google Meets last week)!
As usual, lessons and activities for students to practice their literacy and numeracy skills this week are posted on the Language Arts Week 12 and Math Week 12 pages on this site (click on the tabs at the top of this page to access those).
Please try using Seesaw Class if possible to submit those assignments. I have posted a video below on how to use Seesaw Class if that is helpful for you.
Ideally, the assignments would be submitted by Friday so that I can gather information to plan for the next week, but if you need until Sunday to finish assignments because of your family's schedule, I completely understand that. Thanks so much for all your support at home during this time!

Listen to James and the Giant Peach
If you've been following along with our readings of James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl, here are the next batch of chapters produced by the Roald Dahl Story Company. Happy listening!

Using Seesaw Class
Google Meet
Our class Meet is on Tuesday at 10:00am and I will stay on after to answer questions about your invertebrate writing.
Instead of small group meetings your child can join us in the Google Meet on Thursday at 10:00am if they'd like to watch a 30 minute educational movie about invertebrate animals with the class. We will likely have a brief quiz show after the movie to test out our knowledge of the information from the movie.
