Penguin Week!
For this week of remote learning, I've planned what I hope won't be too overwhelming. If your child is able to read and write and practice math every weekday, that would be wonderful, but some families may end up spending larger chunks of time completing schoolwork on fewer days if their schedules require that. Further down this page, I have posted an optional weekly schedule to plan out the work that your child needs to accomplish if that is helpful for you to follow.
More information about the lessons and activities for students to practice their literacy and numeracy skills this week are posted on the Language Arts and Math pages on this site (click on the tabs at the top of this page to access those).
For this week, I would ask that you send back the Math booklet, Reading Comprehension booklet, and writing notebook on Monday, January 11 when your child returns to school. If for some reason we end up not returning to school on January 11, I will provide further details about how to submit your child's work online.
We will be having Google Meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:00am using the code/URL that I will be sending you in a Seesaw message. I will also be in the same Google Meet link on Tuesday and Thursday at 1:00pm for students who have questions about their schoolwork. Students who need support with their reading also have scheduled Google Meets with Ms. Pinner that are outlined in the remote learning packet that was sent home. Information about how to use Google Meet is posted below.
I truly appreciate all the work you're doing to help your child as a learner from home. I know that this remote learning puts a wrench in many of your plans, and am grateful for all of you stepping up during this time!
