Week 11
June 1 - 5
Bug Week (Part One)
This week we're talking all about invertebrate animals (most of which we call bugs)! We will be having our class Google Meet on Tuesday at 10:00am, and I will be working with students in small group meets at the same time as previous weeks (those most recent times were posted in the Journal section of Seesaw on May 9 if you want to double check).
As usual, lessons and activities for students to practice their literacy and numeracy skills this week are posted on the Language Arts Week 11 and Math Week 11 pages on this site (click on the tabs at the top of this page to access those).
Please try using Seesaw Class if possible to submit those assignments. I have posted a video below on how to use Seesaw Class if that is helpful for you.
Ideally, the assignments would be submitted by Friday so that I can gather information to plan for the next week, but if you need until Sunday to finish assignments because of your family's schedule, I completely understand that. Thanks so much for all your support at home during this time!

Listen to James and the Giant Peach
Usually in the spring, I read the book James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl to my class to accompany our invertebrate animal unit. This year, we can't read it together in person, but fortunately the Roald Dahl Story Company has produced an audio version of the story with a number of performers! If you'd like to listen in, you can listen to them tell the story in these videos below and I'll post the next batch in Week 12. Happy listening!
