Week 13
June 15 - 19
Canada Week!
This week we're wrapping up remote learning by celebrating Canada! We will also be carrying on beloved Millgrove traditions with our class with a Pet Parade, Class Carnival, and Final Wave. We will have our 2B Pet Parade via Google Meet on Tuesday at 10:00am where children are invited to take turns showing the class a "pet" of their choosing (whether that's a cat, dog, fish, pet rock, LOL doll, or anything else they'd like to show the class).
In lieu of Millgrove's annual Carnival, we will be having a 2B Class Carnival using Google Meet on Thursday at 10:00am. I have set up packages for your child to pick up from the school in the gym, and if you're able to pick up the package before this Thursday meeting, your child will have the items to participate in some of the carnival games with the group. If you're not able to pick them up before Thursday, that's totally understandable, there might just be a few games that your child can watch rather than play.
On Friday, Millgrove School invites you to a slightly modified Millgrove's Final Wave. You are invited to join us (physical distancing style) as we wave goodbye to the 2019-2020 school year on Friday from 2:30-3:30 along Calahoo Road between Millgrove Drive and Marlboro Drive. (Please do not stop or get out of your vehicle. I posted more information about this event on Seesaw.)
As usual, lessons and activities for students to practice their literacy and numeracy skills this week are posted on the Language Arts Week 13 and Math Week 13 pages on this site (click on the tabs at the top of this page to access those).
Please try using Seesaw Class if possible to submit those assignments. I have posted a video below on how to use Seesaw Class if that is helpful for you.

Taking Care of Our Invertebuddies
Great job taking care of your invertebuddies so far 2B! You can still bring them along to our Google Meets this week if you'd like and send photos to share with the class. I'm not surprised to see how caring you've been with them!
Listen to James and the Giant Peach
If you've been following along with our readings of James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl, here are the last two episodes produced by the Roald Dahl Story Company. Happy listening!
