We put our patterning skills to good use in 2B when we made our patterned fabric recently! We watched a video about the process of designing fabric and how that fabric is printed, and set to work on our own designs. The students created their patterns based on what designs they thought would sell well as a fabric, and had to describe that pattern’s rule, elements, and core. They also considered carefully what they would write to convince potential buyers. Some of the fabrics were not cheap, as you can see in the advertisements!
