The first thing we had to do today was get updated on the election results! We voted yesterday and submitted our votes to the national Student Vote, the results of which you can see below. Our class had been scrutinizing polls over the past two weeks, so we weren't surprised that there was a Liberal minority. In our class there was a range of opinions after we watched the leaders' answers to various policy-related questions, and we even had one student adamantly request to vote for the Bloc Québécois (they really appreciated Yves-Françcois Blanchet's French answers to the questions). The class got some great practice in exercising their democratic rights and had very respectful dialogue about their different opinions! |
